Stationery Order Timelines
When it comes to ordering your Event Stationery, we've broken it down simply for you! From Save The Dates, Wedding Invitations, On The Day Stationery & Thank You Cards, our timeline has everything that you need to consider with timelines when it comes to ordering your wedding stationery!
SAVE THE DATE INVITATIONS - 8-12 months from your wedding date
You want to give your guests plenty of notice about the date of your Wedding so that they can plan in travel, accommodation, leave from work and even a baby sitter!
As soon as you've locked in a date for your wedding, you should start organising your Save The Date invitations. We only need 2-3 weeks to produce standard Save The Date invitations (including design time!) so it's a very quick turnaround.
WEDDING INVITATIONS - 4-6 months from your wedding date
Now that you've notified your guests of the date they need to keep free, it's time to start working on the finer details for your Wedding Invitations!
We recommend sending these out to your guests 4-6 months ahead of the date. This allows you to finalise everything accurately and give your guests enough time to RSVP.
ON THE DAY STATIONERY - 8-12 weeks from your wedding date
Including: Menus, Place Cards, Welcome Signs, Seating Charts & Wishing Wells
Most of the time, On The Day Stationery is very custom, so give yourself time to refine these details with your guests (like dietary requirements) and venue/caterers (for drinks & food items).
You don't want to be stressed in the lead up to your wedding day, so planning your RSVP date not close to your wedding date is key! Ask your guests to RSVP 6-8 weeks ahead so you have time to organise the Seating Chart and any dietary requirements.
THANK YOU CARDS - 4-6 weeks after your wedding date
If you're planning on sending out personalised Thank You Cards to the guests that attended your wedding, plan in with your photographer to receive a 'Sneak Peek' photo around 2-3 weeks after your wedding day!Thank you cards have a short production time of 1-2 weeks, and then they can be sent out to your guests with a photo memory from the day.
